Cad Bane in Denal Disguise - Sideshow Collectibles

Cad Bane Sideshow

One of the most memorable moment I had during the phenomenal Force Friday event was winning Maxicollector's force friday giveaway contest which was launched on their Instagram account: @maxicollector. The awesome price is to take home a Cad Bane in Denal Disguise - Sixth Scale Figure by Sideshow Collectibles!

And because of the excitement of being a lucky winner,  I want to share how awesome this 1/6 figure is. Now who is Cade Bane?

Cade Bane is also a bounty hunter like Boba Fett but unlike Boba, he doesn't take prisoners. Bane first appeared in a television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars way back in 2008. In the 2nd season, Cad Bane was contacted by Darth Sidious for a special assignment: the capture of a Holocron from inside the Jedi Temple.

"Denal" is the nickname of a clone trooper in the elite 501st legion. Denal confronted the bounty hunter himself, but was killed by him. Bane donned Denal's armor in order to disguise himself as the clone trooper which finally led to his successful escape with the holocron and the Kyber crystal.

Appearance:

I like the damaged look of his armor. You can see the paint improvement compared to previous Sideshow clone troopers and they did a really good job to make it look like the armor went through some big explosions during the war.

Accessories:

Of course this figure won't be complete without the interchangeable heads-the Phase I Helmet with Macro Binoculars and Bane's head. The macro binoculars can be moved up and down for added features.

Above is the magnetized JT-12 Jet Pack that attaches to the back. Mine need some Blu Tack to prevent it from falling easily when you accidentally hit it. I actually dropped the jet pack several times during the poses and luckily it's still intact.

You can also exchange it with the Backpack with Fabric Cover where you can store 5-7 pieces of hands. The straps are also adjustable like an ordinary knapsack.  This backpack is also magnetized which makes it more secured.

Other parts included are 13 interchangeable hands, DC-15A Blaster Rifle, DC-15S Blaster Carbine,  a pair of action and standing pose feet and a figure stand with a base that has the Star Wars logo.

Articulation:

Like other sideshow figures, this one has a fully articulated trooper body. The only downside is the very limited waist movement. Not sure if it has something to do with the armor built but not a big deal though.

Conclusion:

Yeah I really like this figure! The battle weathered armor is a big plus to its overall appearance and an improvement of the previous clone troopers. At first I'm skeptical about Cad Bane's long, blue head in the armor but kinda get along well when he holds the Phase 1 helmet. The backpack with the strap aids to make this figure bulky that tells us that he has gone from a long journey of battle like those of the Sandtroopers.

So till then fellow toy troppers, happy toy hunting!
