It's Raining 6" Black Series Figures On 2015

It looks like Hasbro is turning up force to produce more new 6 inch figures on 2015. Actually many fans of the 6" Black Series figures are still running the market race to find a Darth Vader and Prototype Boba Fett which are selling fast online.

Previously we have talked about the next coming figures of Wave 6 that includes Yoda, Tie Fighter, Clone Trooper Sergeant and the repacked Obi Wan. These figures are just up for pre-order in some online toy shops like Dorkside with the estimated time of arrival on November, 2014.

And now New York Comic Con has announced a newer set of 6" figures that will be released somewhere in March, 2015 or maybe earlier!

Let's start with the Star Wars movie photos so you can feel the force flowing in you :-)

6" Black Series Wave 7

Ah yes... I sense a great excitement!

Now you have an idea of what I'm talking about. Some of them will be on Wave 7 because usually the waves come in sets of 4 figures. So just stay tuned until we get the final announcement from Hasbro.

So now for the official photos revealed by NYCC.

The new wave includes:

1. Boushh (Princess Leia in Bounty Hunter disguise)
2. Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious)
3. Luke in Stormtrooper disguise
4. Commander Cody
5. IG-88 (Bounty Hunter)
6. Clone Trooper Captain

6" Black Series Boushh
Boush (Princess Leia)

There has been an improvement on the face sculpt especially with the eyes and some hair bangs based on the scene when Princess Leia removed her Boushh helmet to reveal herself to the awakened Han Solo after being fronzen in carbonite.

6" Black Series Emperor
The Emperor (Darth Sidious)

So much to learn from this figure especially with how the Emperor would look like without the hood on of his black cloak. I'm getting excited to display this guy with Darth Vader and Luke in the ROTJ last duel scene. The big question is would the Emperor be coming with his throne chair!

6" Black Series Luke Stormtrooper
Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise

Luke's head looks like the X-Wing Pilot version that was popped out and put on to the Stormtrooper figure. "She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid." I think Hasbro has considered Luke's being short for a Stormtrooper so let's find out! Oh yes the removable helmet is cool.

6" Black Series Commander Cody
Commander Cody

This will be the first Phase 2 Clone Trooper figure in the version of Commander Cody. Sorry no head inside the helmet. My opinion on the marketing side is that it's much wiser if Hasbro has earlier released the standard Phase 2 Clone Trooper. Anyway Commander Cody and the Emperor will surely join Vader and Prototype Boba Fett as one of the fast-selling 6" Black Series figures.

6" Black Series IG-88
IG-88

First thing came up on my mind if IG-88 can stand well on its feet. This assassin droid is the third bounty hunter of the 6-inch line. Expecting a lot of details and nice paint job on this one.

6" Black Series Clone Trooper Captain
Clone Trooper Captain

Now this is the third Phase 1 version in the person of Clone Trooper Captain. Never seen him much in the big screen but I still like the red markings with this guy. Yup sounds like another repaint of the original Clone Trooper. Sometimes in situations when you get the chance to see these toys for real, that will make the difference if you would buy them.

We are also hearing some great news of General Grievous, Ben Kenobi (Alec Guinness) and C3PO being next in line.  Well I am counting on Hasbro to make the AT-AT Pilot, Snowtrooper, Gamorrean Guard, Darth Malgus and so much more.

How about you? What 6-inch Star Wars figures you would want Hasbro to make?

  1. Ahsoka Tano, Mace Windu, Lando in his Bespin digs, Queen Amidala as she first appears, a Battle Droid, Grand Moff Tarkin, and maybe a Sebulba and Watto two-pack?

  2. Those are exciting lineup especially with Mace Windu and Lando. Starting to wonder how they would look like. I'm also hoping for Gamorrean Guard, C3PO and Bib Fortuna.
