Celebrate Your Kid's Birthday At Max's Restaurant

Recently we were invited to Chickie Boy's birthday party at Max's Restaurant, Scout Tuason branch. Chickie Boy is Max's very own mascot and I have no idea yet how old is he now. Well Max's Restaurant has been in the business since 1945 so we can assume that Chickie Boy just turned 72 years old. Hmmm... I maybe wrong because he's just a boy.

Elvis Presley Figure From '68 Comeback Special by Enterbay & Kotobukiya

One of my best childhood memories is a family video of me doing an Elvis Presley impersonation wearing a black leather jacket with a guitar while lip-syncing a song from his concert. I'm still a huge Elvis fan and a week won't pass without listening to his music.

Now that I am starting to shift on sixth scale toy figures, of course looking for an Elvis Presley figure is on my list. I don't own too much memorabilia of the King of Rock and Roll but having the closest representation of him is enough for me to look at everyday while listening to his timeless songs.

Whenever I go to toy conventions, I always admire the awesome displays of 1/6 scale figures at the collector's toy gallery. Every time I see my favorite Hot Toys characters, I usually ask myself "Would I have one of those someday?"

Hot Toys and Sideshow are known for making ultimate action figures in 1/6 scale which are sculpted close-to-actual character with great articulation, accessories including changeable head and hand poses. If you are into toy photography, having these bad ass figures will give you many poses and great close-up photos even in the smallest detail.

One of the typical characteristics of a toy collector is to find pleasure in discovering new and rare toy items in every place possible. When an opportunity strikes to go out of the country, we never fail to put in the travel itinerary to visit toy stores in the area.

Because of that, I want to share with you some of the toy stores I have visited in Hong Kong. Actually we were there for 2 days and toy hunting was just 3rd on the list. If you're just into casual toy shopping with no particular item in mind, a single day allotted is enough and that is if you already know how to get there.

So when Hasbro introduced the first wave of the 6" Black Series on August 2013 that includes Luke (X-Wing Outfit), R2D2, Darth Maul and Sandtrooper; three years after, my wish list finally came out. The Snowtrooper, AT-AT pilot and Old Ben Kenobi were released.
