The Philippines Could Have Been Luke Skywalker's Home

Star Wars Philippines Manila
credits to TIME.com
I was searching the net on where Star Wars: A New Hope was first shown in the Philippines. One of the results led me to a post on TIME history website entitled 5 Surprising Star Wars Facts from 1977 and it mentioned that if George Lucas had no skin issues, the shooting location could have been in one of the jungles in the Philippines. Maybe Palawan, Bohol and Mindanao could be potential spots.

Check out the whole story here: 5 Surprising Star Wars Facts, Straight From 1977

If this plan pushed through then I believe many factors in the film will change. They are as follows:

1. Lars Homestead - Luke's home
2. Landspeeder
3. Sandtroopers and Dewbacks
4. Sand People
5. Mos Eisley
6. Droids
7. Character wardrobes
8. Jawas and its Sandcrawler

Can you think of other factors that would change if Luke's home was in the jungle?

Bandai 6" C3PO Model Kit Review

bandai c3po star wars

This is my third Bandai Star Wars action figure model kit, C3PO. He's one of the most iconic character when it comes to droids that belong to the rebel alliance. Treepio's shiny gold plated body and unique accent who can translate 6 million forms of communication makes this protocol droid very popular to the fans. Along with his partner R2D2, together they bring robotic humor to the film.

My Own Stormtrooper AT-AT Walker Happy Meal

Stormtrooper ATAT Happy Meal Toy

I was cleaning my 1:1 EFX A New Hope Stormtrooper helmet when I accidentally placed it above the POTF AT-AT Walker. The second time I look at them, it came to my mind that there's a small toy that looks exactly like this. I googled and found out that it was a McDonald's Stormtrooper AT-AT Happy Meal Toy!

Every year many toy collectors gather in a much awaited toy conventions which usually happen in the months of December, January, April, March and June. Toy conventions or toy fairs are a much better alternative when looking for rare and vintage items that you don't usually see in your regular toy stores. You can even get them at bargain prices or if you are lucky enough, they could come complete in packaging.

Adventure Time Invades McDonald's PH

Recently my wife was asking me to accompany her to McDonald's to check out their new Happy Meal featuring Cartoon Network's Adventure Time. I was not a big fan of McDonald's Happy Meal items until I got a chance to try out the Jake and Finn toy figures.

Oh mind you, it was for my daughters not mine! When they asked me to open the happy meal box, I already admired the paint job. By the way, the box comes with a cut and fold papercraft so be sure to check it out. Paint job looks nice as compared to the original Adventure Time figures by Jazwares. I think these variants can lineup with the 6 inch scales when you consider Finn to a boy's height.
